U.S. envoy says no communication, no signal from North Korea amid nuclear crisis
South Korea and the United States agreed on Friday to keep working for a peaceful end to the North Korean nuclear crisis, but a U.S. envoy said it was difficult to gauge the reclusive North's intentions as there has been "no signal". North Korea is under heavy international pressure to end its nuclear and missile programs, pursued in defiance of U.N. Security Council resolutions, but has vowed never to give up its nuclear arsenal which it says it needs to counter perceived U.S. aggression. Lee Do-hoon, South Korea's special representative for Korean peace and security affairs, and his U.S. counterpart, Joseph Yun, met on the southern resort island of Jeju, following a summit between South Korean President Moon Jae-in and U.S. President Donald Trump in Seoul last week.
Argentina's navy searches for missing submarine with 44 crew on board
Argentina’s navy has launched a huge search-and-rescue operation for a military submarine with 44 crew members that has been missing off the coast of Patagonia for more than two days. The last radio contact with the San Juan submarine was on Wednesday, when it was 430km off the coast of the southern province of Chubut, in the area of San Jorge bay, a naval spokesman said on Friday.

Robert Mueller 'subpoenas Trump election campaign for Russia documents'
Special counsel Robert Mueller is said to have subpoenaed President Donald Trump’s election campaign for documents regarding Russia. Mr Mueller, currently leading an investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Kremlin, reportedly requested documents and emails from over a dozen top campaign officials that include several keywords related to Russia. A source told the Wall Street Journal the subpoena would not compel testimony before a grand jury.
