French politician Simone Veil honored with Pantheon burial

PARIS (AP) — Holocaust survivor Simone Veil, who repeatedly broke barriers for women in French politics and spearheaded the fight to legalize abortion, was buried at the Pantheon on Sunday, an honor reserved for French heroes.
