More than 400 sex abuse lawsuits have been filed across New York on the first day of a new one-year window for older molestation cases. Hundreds, if not thousands, of people had been expected to sue as the state allowed molestation lawsuits that had been blocked by the statute of limitations. The Roman Catholic Church, the Boy Scouts and the estate of the late financier Jeffrey Epstein are among the defendants facing lawsuits.
